Deed Information

All land parcels are described by a deed which is recorded at the Registry of Deeds in each property’s representative County within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

A deed describes the owner of the parcel of land and describes the boundaries from previously referenced recorded subdivided land.  The age of referenced material is relevant to the accuracy of the boundary being depicted of the plan.  A deed will also describe any restrictions, covenants, and easements which may be present on the parcel. Preparation of deeds and reference plans are prepared by attorneys and land surveyors registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts respectively.   A deed which describes monumentation that is present on the subject parcel provides visual clarity of the perimeter of the boundary.  Understanding deed information of a property helps determine land value.
